Artykuł ma na celu uzupełnienie nowymi faktami biografii Kaspra Kazimierza Cieciszowskiego, biskupa łuckiego i żytomierskiego w latach 1798–1831, metropolity mohylewskiego w latach 1827–1831. Będąc przez ponad 30 lat ordynariuszem diecezji łucko-żytomskiej, założonej w roku 1798, biskup Cieciszowski przyczynił się nie tylko do zachowania, ale i do rozwoju Kościoła katolickiego na Wołyniu w warunkach absolutyzmu rosyjskiego. Czytelnik będzie mógł się o tym upewnić, zapoznając się z testamentem biskupa Cieciszowskiego i dopełnieniem do niego.

The main goal of the article is to supplement with new facts the biography of Kasper Kazimierz Cieciszowski, who was the bishop of Lutsk (Łuck) and Zhytomyr (Żytomierz) in 1798–1831, the metropolitan of Mohyliv (Mohylew) in 1827–1831. Heading more than 30 years Lutsk and Zhytomyr diocese, established in 1798, bishop Cieciszowski made a lot of effort not only for preserving but also building up Roman-Catholic Church in Volyn (Wołyń) in the conditions of Russian absolutizm. The reader can verify this when gets acquainted with bishop Cieciszowski’s testament and additions to it.
