The article reveals the importance of the time management problem and substantiates the expediency of its research. It describes peculiarities of time management as a pedagogical technology concentrating on its principles; analysis of technology genesis was carried out in the works by foreign and domestic scientists from different fields of science. Five groups of problems solved with the help of this technology were identified. It was found out that time management within our research meets the requirements of a pedagogical technology effectively facilitating PhD students’ self-management. It was proved that it combines features of professional management technology as well as effective self-management.

Cel badań. Celem prowadzonym badań była analiza statusu prawnego doktoranta (uczestnika studiów doktoranckich) w świetle reformy szkolnictwa wyższego i nauki, w zakresie sposobu organizacji kształcenia, rekrutacji, praw i obowiązków oraz postępowania w sprawie nadania stopnia doktora nauk prawnych. Metoda badań. W toku prowadzonych badań wykorzystana została metoda dogmatyczno-prawna oraz elementy empirycznej w zakresie przeprowadzonej analizy orzecznictwa. Uwzględniona została materia normatywna, w szczególności przepisy ustawy – Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym i nauce, i przepisy ją wprowadzające, a także przepisy dotychczasowej ustawy – Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym. Wyniki badań. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że sytuacja prawna doktorantów jest uzależniona od roku akademickiego, w którym rozpoczęli studia doktoranckie, a także od dnia, w którym wszczęli postępowanie w sprawie nadania stopnia doktora nauk prawnych. Postępowanie w sprawie nadania stopnia doktora może odbywać się nie tylko na „starych” czy „nowych zasadach”, ale także w trybach mieszanych, w których reguły są modyfikowane tylko w określonych zakresach. Wnioski. Doktoranci powinni z uwagą zapoznać się ze zróżnicowanym stanem prawnym. Z uwagi na zmienione zasady i liczne wyjątki od wprowadzonych zmian istotne jest, aby upewnić się, jakiego dnia postępowanie zostało wszczęte i czy wszelkie formalności w tym zakresie zostały dopełnione. Ponadto w przypadku opóźnień w procesie tworzenia pracy doktorskiej, warto zwrócić uwagę na terminy graniczne, po których postępowanie zostanie umorzone albo zakończone.

The object of the study. The purpose of the research was to analyze the legal status of PhD students in the light of the reform of higher education, in the areas of: the organization of education, recruitment, rights and obligations and proceedings in the matter of conferring the title of Doctor of the Juridical Science. Test method. In the course of the research, the dogmatic and legal method as well as empirical method elements in the scope of analysis of case law were used. The normative matter was taken into account, in particular the provisions of the Act - Law on higher education and science and regulations introducing it, as well as the hitherto existing Act - Law on higher education. Results. The research has shown that the legal situation of PhD students depends on the academic year in which they started their doctoral studies, as well as on the day on which they initiated proceedings in the matter of conferring the title of doctor of legal sciences. Proceedings to award doctoral degrees may take place not only according to "old" or "new rules", but also in mixed modes, in which the rules are modified only in certain areas. Conclusions. PhD students should pay attention to the varied legal status. Due to the changed rules and numerous exceptions to the changes introduced, it is important to make sure on which day the proceedings were initiated and whether all formalities in this respect have been complied with. In addition, in the event of delays in the process of creating a doctoral thesis, it is worth paying attention to the deadlines, after which the proceedings will be discontinued or terminated.

Article in its content raises issues relating to one of the most important acts of an internal nature, functioning in the high school – the rules for granting financial aid. This aspect was presented through the prism of the general concept of the act, its features, as well as specialist literature and the jurisprudence of judicial administration. It was pointed out which provisions of the authors should be avoided, and that should apply so that the procedure of granting financial assistance took place in accordance with the law.

Artykuł w swojej treści porusza kwestie odnoszące się do jednego z najważniejszych aktów prawnych o charakterze wewnętrznym, funkcjonującym na uczelni- regulaminie przyznawania pomocy materialnej. Aspekt ten został przedstawiony przez pryzmat ogólnego pojęcia regulaminu, jego cech, a także specjalistycznej literatury i orzecznictwa sądowo administracyjnego. Wskazano, jakich postanowień autorzy powinni unikać, a jakie powinny obowiązywać tak aby procedura przyznawania pomocy materialnej odbywała się zgodnie z przepisami prawa.
