Cultural factors of today's world are constantly changing. That is why the activity of the Church demands a systematic renewal and some new pastoral strategies are created. With regard to catechesis this is revealed in creating of new curriculum guidelines and practical tools for religious education. The Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine, conscious of contemporary challenges, is currently trying to develop assumptions for catechesis of children and young people. For this reason, empirical research have been conducted amongst catechists of the Archdiocese of Lviv. This article contains analysis of the results of this survey. They relate to organizational framework of catechesis, its content and methods as well as the development prospects of the catechesis of children preparing for First Holy Communion.

Ze względu na nieustannie zmieniające się uwarunkowania kulturowe dzisiejszego świata także działalność Kościoła wymaga systematycznej odnowy. Dlatego wciąż tworzone są nowe strategie pastoralne. W odniesieniu do katechezy przejawia się to w tworzeniu nowych założeń programowych i praktycznych narzędzi przeznaczonych do edukacji religijnej. Kościół rzymskokatolicki na Ukrainie, świadomy współczesnych wyzwań, próbuje aktualnie wypracować założenia, którymi mogłaby się kierować katecheza adresowana do dzieci i młodzieży. Przychodząc z pomocą temu dziełu przeprowadzono badania empiryczne wśród katechetów archidiecezji lwowskiej. Niniejszy artykuł zawiera analizę wyników tych badań. Dotyczą one ram organizacyjnych katechezy, jej treści i metod, a także perspektyw rozwoju katechezy.
