Przedmiotem artykułu jest dziedzictwo kulinarne pogranicza polsko-czeskiego. Omówiono wybrane wydarzenia kulinarne (m.in. konkursy, projekt, biesiady, festiwale) o zasięgu międzynarodowym i lokalnym, mogące być atrakcjami turystycznymi. Inicjatywy te pełnią ważną funkcję kulturotwórczą, dzięki nim popularyzowana jest wiedza o dziedzictwie kulturowym południowo- -zachodniego subregionu Górnego Śląska. Propagowanie dziedzictwa kulinarnego tego obszaru może być sposobem na podniesienie jego atrakcyjności turystycznej i skuteczną promocją regionu na rynkach turystycznych Polski i Czech.

The culinary heritage of Silesian-Moravian borderline is the subject matter of this article. The particular culinary events have been discussed in this thesis (including competitions, project, banquets and festivals). The extent of such events is international and local. Moreover, they are touristic attractions. The efforts benefit a crucial culture-making function. Therefore, the awareness of southwest subregion of Upper Silesia’s cultural heritage has been popularised. In such a way, through the promotion of this area’s culinary heritage, the touristic attraction can be enhanced. Furthermore, it is an effective promotion of Silesian-Moravian region on the touristic market of Poland and Czech Republic.
