W artykule zaprezentowano różne formy edukacji regionalnej wykorzystywane przez Powiatową i Miejską Bibliotekę Publiczną „Bibliotekę pod Atlantami” w Wałbrzychu. Krótko opisano inicjatywy Pracowni Regionalnej Biblioteki, najważniejsze zajęcia edukacyjne i imprezy, w tym różnego rodzaju spotkania (jednorazowe, cykliczne), projekty, konkursy. Omówiono współpracę Biblioteki z instytucjami działającymi głównie na terenie regionu oraz zwrócono uwagę na rolę, jaką odgrywają poszczególne formy edukacji regionalnej wśród lokalnej społeczności.

The article presents various form of regional education used by the “Biblioteka pod Atlantami” Powiat and Municipal Public Library in Wałbrzych. There is a brief description of the Regional Workroom of the Library and the most important educational activities and events which are organised by it, including various meetings (non-regular and regular events), projects, and competitions. One also emphasised the collaboration of the Library with various institutions which operate mainly in the region, and the role which is performed by the particular forms of regional education for the local community.

W artykule przedstawiono działania Powiatowej i Miejskiej Biblioteki Publicznej w Wałbrzychu, „Biblioteki pod Atlantami”, podejmowane w celu kultywowania pamięci o poecie Marianie Jachimowiczu. Omówiono najważniejsze fakty z życia tłumacza i eseisty, wymieniono jego dzieła i nagrody, jakie otrzymał. Opisano Pokój Pamięci Poety, bibliografię przedmiotowo-podmiotową oraz zajęcia edukacyjne z nim związane. Dużo miejsca poświęcono obchodom Roku Mariana Jachimowicza.

The purpose of the article is to present various forms of activities engaged by the “Biblioteka pod Atlantami” Powiat and Municipal Public Library in Wałbrzych which are oriented toward the cultivation of memory about a regional poet, Marian Jachimowicz. It presents the most important fact of the life of the translator and essayist, and enumerates the works and the accolades of the man of letters. It also describes the Memorial Room of the Poet Marian Jachimowicz, the primary and secondary bibliography of his works and the educational activities associated with this figure. Considerable attention was devoted to the celebration of the Year of Marian Jachimowicz.
