W artykule przedstawiono wynik finansowy jako kategorię rachunkowości. Treść ekonomiczną wyniku finansowego scharakteryzowano na tle zasad rachunkowości oraz modeli wyceny bilansowej. Rozszerzenie stosowania modeli wyceny w wartości godziwej prowadzi do zniekształcenia informacji o realnie osiągniętym wyniku finansowym.

The paper presents financial result as a category of accounting. The economic essence of financial result characterized against a background of accounting principles and valuation models. A wider application of the fair value models lead to a distortion of financial result.
