Głównym celem badawczym artykułu jest zidentyfikowanie istotnych statystycznie oraz wiodących cech osobowych, postaw i zachowań kobiet i mężczyzn, wspomagających działalność innowacyjną w poszczególnych rolach pełnionych w procesie innowacji, wskazywanych odrębnie przez dwie grupy respondentów: kobiety i mężczyzn zaangażowanych w ten proces. W rezultacie stwierdzono, że role pełnione przez kobiety i mężczyzn w procesie innowacji różnią się istotnie oraz reprezentują różne cechy osobowe, postawy i zachowania, co może też wywoływać zróżnicowaną skuteczność innowacyjną. Proces innowacji wymaga zatem różnych kompetencji i nie jest neutralny pod względem płci.

The main research task summarized in the article is the identification of statistically significant and leading women’s and men’s qualities, attitudes and behaviours that support innovative activities for particular roles in the process of innovation, described by two independent groups of respondents – women and men engaged in that process. The results show that roles played by women and men in the process of innovation are different for these two groups, and they also require different qualities, attitudes and behaviours. The process of innovation requires not only different competences, but it is also not gender neutral.
