Constitutive feature of organic farming is to carry out sustainable agricultural activity in accordance with the requirements of the soil, plants and animals. The systematic increase in the potential of the organic farms in Poland should be considered as positive and desired direction of agriculture development, due to the numerous environmental, economic and social benefits, as well as compliance with the future model of agriculture, based on renewable resources and environmental-friendly and social development of rural areas. The purpose of this article is to provide socio-economic structural changes in organic holdings between 2005 and 2010 against the background of individual agricultural holdings population. Polish accession to the European Union and including Polish agriculture to the Common Agricultural Policy has contributed to a numerous of social and structural transformations. The Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship did not avoid these changes. It can be seen in the structure of farm, the way of land use, the specialization, the technological advancement or modernization of farms. Indicators of changes in the dynamics and structure and functions of trends allow to analyze transformations. The use of these research methods allow to trace the transformations in agriculture after 2004 and their development trends. The purpose of this article is to study the direction of the changes taking place in farms of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship after Polish accession to the European Union. (original abstract)

The article presents the structural changes occurring in the Polish labour market due to innovation. The analysis covers the 2006-2010 period. The impact of innovation on employment is related to the so-called creative destruction, which means that innovation on the one hand destroys the existing jobs, but on the other creates new ones. The analysis has demonstrated that the rise in employment and the related shifts in employment structure are determined by the type of innovation introduced. The organizational innovations had a greater impact on the size and structure of employment than the technological ones.
