Artykuł obejmuje prezentację wybranych aspektów zarządzania strategicznego w publicznych uczelniach ekonomicznych w Polsce. Pierwsza część prezentuje główne wyzwania, przed jakimi stają obecnie szkoły wyższe w Polsce. Druga cześć obejmuje analizę strategii rozwoju publicznych uczelni ekonomicznych w Polsce, w której przedstawione zostały wskazówki dla uczelni, jak sprostać współczesnym wyzwaniom. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja współczesnych wyzwań stających przed publicznymi uczelniami ekonomicznymi i sposobów sprostania im z wykorzystaniem elementów zarządzania strategicznego uczelnią.

The article includes a presentation of selected aspects of strategic management in public business schools in Poland. First part presents main challenges typical for higher education schools nowadays in Poland. Second part includes an analysis of development strategy of public business schools in Poland, where guidelines for universities to meet today’s challenges have been presented. This article aims to identify modern challenges for public business schools and ways to address them using elements of strategic management of university.
