The article presents the attitudes of Polish people living in Ukraine towards the conflict taking place in that country between 2013 and 2015. Special attention was given to the presentation of attitudes adopted by various groups of the Polish community. In order to better understand the case, the article also outlines the political background of the situation in question and generally characterizes selected elements of behaviours presented by the whole Ukrainian society. The following text presents an attempt to generalize the position of Polish people in Ukraine by proposing a classification of the Polish minority by adopted behaviours and attitudes, taking into account the status of particular Polish groups. The classification includes the following types: passive, involved, forgotten, refugees, evacuees, occupied.
