Tematyka artykułu skupia się na zagadnieniach związanych z refleksją nad wybranymi koncepcjami rozwoju miast oraz na sformułowaniu cech wyróżniających dla współczesnych tendencji rozwoju pojawiających się w polskich miastach ujętych w kategorię rozwoju hybrydowego. Głównym celem jest identyfikacja nieciągłych i wysoce zróżnicowanych tendencji rozwoju miast w Polsce odzwierciedlających hybrydowe wzorce ich rozwoju, wraz z wyróżnieniem grup miast cechujących się zbliżoną dynamiką rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego. Metodyka badawcza obejmuje analizy prowadzone dla wszystkich miast w Polsce z wykorzystaniem narzędzi analizy statystycznej oraz analizy grupowania.

The article focuses on issues related to the reflection on the select concepts of cities development and on the formulation of the distinguishing characteristics of contemporary development trends emerging in the Polish cities included in the category of hybrid development. The main goal of the article is to identify nonlinear and highly diversified urban development trends in Poland reflecting by hybrid patterns of their development, along with distinguishing groups of cities characterized by similar dynamics of socio-economic development. The research methodology includes analyzes for all cities in Poland using statistical analysis tools along with cluster analysis.
