Obecnie szkoła poszukując nowego miejsca oraz sposobu funkcjonowania w XXI wieku powinna wykorzystać nowoczesne koncepcje zarządzania. Istnieje w praktyce wiele trendów oraz koncepcji w zarządzaniu szkołą. Wg D. Elsner najodpowiedniejszym określeniem dla takiego stanu rzeczy będzie pluralizm. Chcąc osiągnąć wymierne efekty, spełniać oczekiwania klientów szkoły, konieczne jest wyznaczenie celu, który dla wszystkich osób związanych z placówką oświatową stanowić będzie najwyższą wartość, wyznaczając kierunek działania, motywującą i zachęcającą do podejmowania stałego wysiłku w podnoszeniu kompetencji i umiejętności własnych uczniów. Dlatego też oparcie działania szkoły na wartościach stanowiących solidne fundamenty, dają szanse współczesnej szkole oraz możliwości osiągnięcia poprzez nią wysokiego poziomu jakości świadczonych usług edukacyjnych.

At present school seeking the new seat and the way of functioning in the 21st century should use modern conceptions of management. In practice many trends exist and of the conception in managing the school. According to D. Elsner for such a state of affairs will be the rightest expression pluralism.Wanting to achieve notable effects, to meet expectations of customers of the school, fixing the purpose which for all persons associated with an educational institution will constitute the maximum value, appointing direction of action, is necessary motivating and encouraging own pupils making permanent effort in raising competence and the ability. Therefore basing action of the school on values constituting solid foundations, are giving chances to the contemporary school and the possibility of reaching the high level of quality of provided educational services.
