The title of the article alludes to the best selling book The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists by Neil Strauss, while its content concerns the recent social phenomenon known as the seduction community (SC). Emphasis is placed on the way in which the concept of playing a game figures in the SC. The main goals of this paper consist in reporting the SC as a recent phenomenon still waiting to be explored academically, as well as suggesting several directions for empirical investigation of the SC and its output, while also identifying possible methodological difficulties.
