The article is focused on the problems of reforming the federal structure of the Russian Federation. The article shows that the gradual elimination of the system of national autonomous violates the inalienable rights of national minorities in Russia, reflected in the Constitution, first of all – the right to national self-determination. Only on territories of national autonomies is guaranteed the minimal protection of national minorities´ s rights.

The aim of this study was to assess the relationships among the motivational profile, the coach’s interpersonal style and the intention to be physically active in young athletes. A sample of 254 athletes (mean age of 12.81 years), who used to participate in official competitions, was used. The measurements taken were of the young athletes’ perception of the interpersonal style of the coach, satisfaction of basic psychological needs, motivation towards sports practice and intention to be physically active. Bivariate correlation, cluster and multivariate analyses were carried out. The cluster analysis revealed two profiles: one with high self-determined motivation and greater values of autonomy support, competence, relatedness and intention to be physically active, and another less self-determined cluster that showed low levels of competence, relatedness and intention to be physically active. It is suggested that adding some strategies based on autonomy support to training with athletes may ensure adherence to sports practice.

The aim of the present research was to investigate the role of self-determination (SD) and perceived emotional intelligence (EI) in adopting specific career decision-making strategies (CDMSs), and thereby to extend knowledge about personality factors playing a crucial role in adaptive ways of making career decisions. The study was conducted on a sample of 173 first-year university female students aged 19-25 using the questionnaires Career Decision-Making Profile (CDMP; Gati et al., 2010), Career Decision-Making Autonomy Scale (CDMAS; Guay, 2005), Academic Motivation Scale-College (AMS-C; Vallerand et al., 1992), and Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS; Salovey et al., 1995). The results supported the importance of SD and perceived EI in predicting adaptive career decision-making (CDM); SD accounted for 2-34% of variance in CDMSs and the perceived EI explained additional up to 11% of their variance, even after controlling for SD. Higher SD and perceived EI were associated with more frequent use of adaptive and less frequent use of maladaptive CDMSs. Our findings might be relevant to career counselling.

Two multidirectional vectors remain simultaneously valid within the domestic policy of European Union: the integration of European community in a single unit and the increasing regionalization of the EU countries-members. The author of the article comes to the conclusion, that the result of such multidirectional political processes is not the contradiction, but rather interaction of these two trends of domestic policy. The deepening of regionalization and partial loss of the autonomy by national governments of countries-members of EU is instrumental in the acceleration of the European community integration. The mechanisms of the parallel moved forward integration and regionalization must resolve territorial conflicts both among the 'old' members of EU (so called 'interdynastic' type of conflicts) and between the 'old' and 'new' EU members ('post-colonial' type of conflicts). In addition, the supranational authorities of the European Union can make use of the trend of regionalization as an effective mechanism of political management.

The philosophical work of Adam Węgrzecki is guided by questions about man. Węgrzecki speculates about various the various concepts of humanity that have arisen in philosophical thought throughout history, and he shows the difficulties in formulating views on human nature, its stability, and its variability. His anthropological thought forms an attempt to reconcile opposing positions on this matter. He bases his theory on the notion of a personal entity, that is, a subject. The subject functions as a focal point of Węgrzecki’s anthropological considerations, which include discussions of concepts of identity, of being oneself, of freedom. In his view, the (personal) subject is the foundation on which the identity of the person is realized through the individual who is being him (or her) self. Węgrzecki often refers to representatives of the phenomenological tradition, in particular to Roman Ingarden and Max Scheler, as well as to the renowned anthropologists, Arnold Gehlen and Helmut Plessner. The most striking characteristic of Adam Węgrzecki’s thinking is his normative approach to being oneself: for him, this denotes a task, specifically, the task of self-determination in the face of values. Self-determination therefore has an ethical dimension, which is expressed by the call to actively “lead one’s life”.
