The paper presents some Chinese substitutions of Polish surnames, and analyzes a number of phonematic phenomena occurring during the process of adaptation, i.e., epenthesis, prosthesis, elision, and metathesis. The influence of English and the usage of Chinese surnames in a number of adaptations of Polish surnames are discussed. The research material consists of 322 Polish surnames. The sources of research material are Chinese websites.
