The aim of the study was to investigate the side-effects of pesticides application on beneficial entomofauna in agrocenoses. Epigeal arthropods, mainly Carabidae family were studied against the backdrop of other beneficial ground arthropods. The experiment was carried out at Winna Góra near Środa Wielkopolska. In 2008 and 2012 sugar beets were cultivated on two fields: intensively treated with pesticides and untreated - control field. The immediate negative impact of pesticides on beneficial ground entomofauna was not noted.
