In the article author presents background of events that resulted in the emergence of Polish refugees in Hungary in September 1939. In addition to the activities carried out in favor of a government– in– exile. In the first months of the war was established in Hungary a number of committees of social and civic aimed at Polish culture. Refugees began to organize Polish schools. To the first of belonged secondary and high school in Balatonzamárdi and Balatonboglár, which short story was presented.
