Artykuł analizuje sześć podań ludowych, dotyczących legendarnego pirata Klausa Störtebekera. Pięć z nich powstało na przełomie XIX i XX wieku, kiedy opowieść osiągnęła szczyt popularności, szósta pochodzi z pierwszej obszernej antologii zachodniopomorskich podań ludowych. Klaus Störtebeker najczęściej kojarzony jest z Hamburgiem i Morzem Północnym u ujścia Łaby. W różnych wersjach podania można jednak odnaleźć liczne elementy dotyczące Pomorza Zachodniego. Ponieważ elementy te ulegały modyfikacjom, poszczególne teksty zostały poddane analizie porównawczej.

Der Artikel analysiert sechs Sagen um den legendären mittelalterlichen Seeräuber Klaus Störtebeker. Fünf von ihnen entstanden an der Wendezeit vom 19. zum 20. Jahrhundert, also zu dem Zeitpunkt, als seine Geschichte eine besondere Popularität genoss, die sechste stammt aus der ersten umfangreichen Anthologie der Sagen von Pommern. Klaus Störtebeker wird am häufigsten mit Hamburg und der Nordsee an der Elbe-Mündung in Verbindung gebracht. In verschiedenen Fassungen der Sage können jedoch zahlreiche Elemente mit Bezug auf Pommern gefunden werden, die in einzelnen Texten unterschiedlich gestaltet sind. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden sie miteinander verglichen und analysiert.

The paper analyses six folk tales on the legendary pirate Klaus Störtebeker. The topic, known from the middle ages, was written down in the 19th century. Five of the works of reference come from the turn of the 20th century, as the Klaus Störtebeker story reached the peak of its popularity. The sixth comes from the first voluminous anthology of the Pomeranian folk tales. Klaus Störtebeker is connected with Hamburg and the North Sea at mouth of the Elbe River the most often. However, in different versions of its tale there are many elements with reference to Western Pomerania that can be found. As they are shaped differently, the paper compares and analyses them.
