Cooperative movement on the area of the Siedlce district even though she nicknamed all sorts railways of fates in the period before the outbreak of the World War I, next in the II Republic of Poland and in years of the Nazi occupation, put her name down economic and social landscape of region. In 1934 in the Siedlce district it acted 47 KR, the 25 farmer's wives' associations, in which 436 gathered members were. Apart from Polish cooperatives, Jewish cooperatives which gathered c 1500 members functioned. For the cooperative movement an outbreak of the World War II was a test. The cooperative movement in the Siedlce district joined into the resistance movement which were a base for underground activity for all political groups and their armed forces from the right wing for the Left and communists. Moreover the cooperative movement took the fight for keeping biological strength of the nation, through the financial help, being aimed at supporting efforts retaining the national awareness of Poles in the field of the education and cultures.
