Snoezelen, w Polsce nazywany jako Sala Doświadczania Świata, jest jedną z bardziej popularnych metod w pracy terapeutycznej z osobami z różnymi rodzajami i stopniami niepełnosprawności, z zaburzeniami psychicznymi, z uszkodzeniami mózgu, z chronicznymi bólami i z innymi proble-mami zdrowotnymi. Ze Snoezelen korzystają także ludzie zdrowi najczęściej w celu relaksacji i odprężenia. W Polsce coraz więcej szkół i placówek edukacyjno-terapeutycznych i rehabilitacyjnych, przede wszystkim dla osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w stopniu głębszym i głębokim oraz z niepełnosprawnością sprzężoną, tworzy Sale Doświadczania Świata. Biorąc pod uwagę chociażby wyposażenie sal Snoezelen, można powiedzieć, że propozycja ta wpisuje się w XXI w.

Snoezelen, in Poland called World Experience Room, is one of the most popular methods in the therapeutic work with persons with different kinds and degrees of disabilities, with mental disorders, chronic pains and other health issues. Snoezelen is used also by healthy people mostly in order to relax and mellow. More and more schools and educational and therapeutic, and also rehabilitation establishments, especially for persons with intellectual disability of a higher and high degree and with multiple disability, create World Experience Rooms. Taking into consideration, say the equipment of Snoezelen rooms, it can be said that this proposal fits the 21st century.
