W artykule autor przedstawia krytyczny stosunek do nurtów filozoficznych podtrzymujących dualistyczny podział na ciało i umysł. Następnie dowartościowuje te koncepcje, zwłaszcza somaestetykę Richarda Shustermana, które akcentują cielesne zakorzenienie podmiotu w świecie. Autor argumentuje, że kierunki filozoficzne podkreślające znaczenie cielesności mogą przyczynić się do wzmocnienia podmiotu, który byłby w stanie wypracować autonomiczną sferę prywatności, nie skolonizowaną całkowicie przez to, co polityczne.

In the article author critically discuss philosophical streams which supports the dualistic division between body and mind. Then he highlights the value of these concepts, especially Richard Susterman’s somaesthetics, which emphasize subject’s being bodily rooted in the world. Author argues that philosophical directions highlighting the importance of corporeality can contribute to the strengthening of subject, which would be able to develop an autonomous sphere of privacy, not completely colonized by the political.
