Zjawisko terytorializacji procesów rozwoju pokazuje proces zakorzenienia działalności gospodarczej w relacjach społecznych i przestrzennych. Terytorializacja prowadzi do tworzenia nowych wartości i zasobów oraz powstania specyficznego, kreatywnego systemu relacji, zdolnego do szybkiego dostosowania się do zmian. Umożliwia ewolucję w rozwoju – od prostej koncentracji działalności gospodarczej przez specjalizację do specyficzności w rozwoju. Celem artykułu jest poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na pytanie: kiedy prosta koncentracja i aglomeracja działalności gospodarczej danej branży może przekształcić się w specjalizację regionalną? Jakie czynniki i uwarunkowania decydują o terytorializacji działalności gospodarczej i tworzeniu specyficzności w rozwoju? Artykuł ma charakter teoretyczny. Zastosowana metoda badawcza to krytyczna analiza literatury przedmiotu.

The phenomenon of territorialization of development processes shows the process of rooting of economic activity in social and spatial relationships. Territorialization leads to the creation of new values and resources, and the emergence of a specific, creative relationship system capable of rapidly adjusting to change. It enables evolution in development – from a simple concentration of economic activity through specialization to specificity in development. The aim of the article is to search, in a theoretical way, for the answers to the following questions: when a simple concentration and agglomeration of economic activity turns into a regional specialization? Which factors and conditions determine the territorialisation of economic activity and the emergence of specificity in development paths? The presented article is of theoretical nature, based on a method of critical analysis of literature.
