W artykule przedstawiono próbę ukazania znaczenia środków unijnych w zarządzaniu gminą Dębowiec. W tym celu przedstawiono teoretyczne podstawy zarządzania gminą i rolę władz samorządowych w tym procesie. Na tym tle dokonano analizy działalności gminy z uwzględnieniem środków unijnych oraz ocenę tej działalności w opinii mieszkańców.

The article presents the importance of European funds in managing Dębowiec local community. In order to do this, theoretical aspects of local community management and the role of municipal authorities in this process were demonstrated. Furthermore, an analysis of activity of local community that possessed European Union funds was conducted and, what is more, the assessment of it in the opinion of residents were mentioned.
