The paper consists of the three parts. The first one is about famous intelectuals and their writting during the 16th century in Poland and Croatia. In the second part the author described the first Polish and Croatian grammar and showed their similarities as well as differences. Workshop about translation of Kochanowski’s poetry into Croatian was provided in the third part in which the author presented changes made to the second Tren translation for the purpose of its improvement.
