Artykuł prezentuje zjawisko współpracy strategicznej podejmowanej przez konkurentów. Opisuje nie tylko relacje kooperencji w dziedzinie biznesu, ale wskazuje też na coraz silniejszą tendencję do nawiązywania relacji pomiędzy konkurującymi ze sobą uczelniami wyższymi, a także tworzenie związków wspierających współpracę nauki i biznesu. Artykuł podkreśla szczególne znaczenie tego ostatniego jako czynnika wspierającego rozwój przemysłu, innowacje oraz pełne realizowanie wyzwań współczesnej gospodarki opartej na wiedzy.

The article presents relations of strategic cooperation between competitors. Describes the activities of coopetition in business and in universities as well. It suggest reinforcing a trend at establishment of relations between competing units and creating relationships to support the cooperation between science and business. Article emphasizes the particular importance of cooperation between business and science, as a driver of industrial development, promotion of innovation and implementation the challenges of today’s knowledge-based economy.
