The article deals with participants of living history reenactments and their activity in the context of interests, needs and cultural tourism organization. After pointing out to the most important issues connected with historical reenactment and to Polish publications on the subject, the author presents, on the basis of a survey, the profile of the group members taking up this area of cultural activity and the range of their activity with regard to educational sphere and directly to tourism. In the last part of the study, the author shows the possibilities standing in front of Polish tourist-cultural offer, relying on the potential of the reenactment groups. Finally, suggestions concerning the integration of the possibilities with the offer are formulated.

Tourism and culture are closely tied with each other. It is cultural tourism that enables us to relive history. With its help the textbook information on history takes a visible shape. Tourists have a chance to see for themselves the remnants of history, e.g. castle ruins, historical cities, battlefields, and they can feel “the spirit of the past”. However, the problem of delivering the historical space properly to the recipients arises. Nowadays, visitors are fed up and bored with traditional historical presentation. We need to seek new, innovative means which will help us reach “consumers” with the historical-tourist product.

El Legado Andalusí Foundation, set up in 1995, fulfilling its statutory goals and being supported by many respectable institutions, began to develop the concept of al-Andalus cultural routes. All the created routes, in terms of theme and direction, refer to the period of Arabic rule in Andalusia form the 8th to the 15th century. The aim of the article is to evaluate the level of organization of these cultural-tourist products. Their thorough analysis allows to draw the following conclusions: regardless of the excellent substantive preparation, they are virtual and organizationally underdone, to a large extent. They are rather a germ of an extremely interesting offer of cultural tourism. At the same time, large-scale activities carried out by the Foundation bring the Spanish-Muslim culture closer to those who are interested and they encourage to explore the offered theme routes.

The aim of this article is to try answer the question if Polish-Czech Glacensis and Pradziad euroregions may become a coherent tourist megaregion, offering a unified network product. The article includes characteristics of tourism development factors in the Polish-Czech borderland and the analysis of transborder EU projects in Glacensis and Pradziad euroregions implemented thus far, with regard to its influence on tourism development in the area. At the same time the article presents case studies of working tourist networks in Europe and and throughout the world, which can be an example and inspiration for the creation of a Polish-Czech borderland product.

Senior citizens, adults, teenagers and also children benefit from the services offered by social farming. Activities based on providing quality time in the fresh air and having direct contact with nature which has a good effect on our wellbeing are the main aims of social farming (also called care farming). The concept of social farming has been recently introduced in rural areas in Poland. A pioneer which took up the matter is Ośrodek Doradztwa Rolniczego in Brwinów with a department in Cracow and Ośrodek Doradztwa Rolniczego in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship, which introduced the project called „Zielona opieka - gospodarstwa opiekuńcze w woj. kujawsko-pomorskim” financed by Regionalny Program Operacyjny Województwa Kujawsko-Pomorskiego for the years of 2014 to 2020. The aim of this article is to present ideas of care farms establishment in Poland. Examples of care farms which are included in the said project were also highlighted. Finally, the programmes which help to obtain EU subsidies necessary for this type of venture were pointed out.

The article presents two essential aspects of modernly-organized theme routes functioning in the present-day cultural tourism: the thematization of space and the creation of the offer competitive to the thriving theme parks and city leisure centers. Analyzing the ideally-designed and coordinated thematic sightseeing system, the German Fairy Tale Route, created according to the complex method of the tourist potential analysis, the author shows the most important functions of theme routes as cultural tourism products reflecting the suggestions formulated by its organizers and researchers. After comparing the research data with the results of the analysis of some chosen Polish theme routes potential, the author formulates general conclusions and specific suggestions regarding their organization and offer.

After explaining the meaning of coordination and the role of a theme route coordinator as well as establishing the required scope of managerial activities, with the example of the studied routes in the territory of Poland and Europe, the author presents the most frequently encountered types of coordinators and most common models of route management in cultural tourism. He also points out to their strengths and weaknesses and formulates conclusions regarding this aspect of Polish theme routes functioning.
