This article discusses the output of Leopold Buczkowski, placed in a broader context of afterthought on the Holocaust. The analysis' key category is the notion of trauma and its consequences for arts and literature. The article's main thesis claims that it is trauma, also understood as Lacan's 'the Real', that causes crashed presentation and a crisis of representation - particularly, in the case of L. Buczkowski's output, being, in the essayist's opinion, an example of 'post-Holocaust-literature'.
