Interdisciplinary approaches are implicit within social sciences and the humanities. These disciplines are substantially concerned with the interactions between economic, political, social and cultural dimensions. Explanations provide the researcher with opportunities to create new inquires within the new spaces that exist between these dimensions which go across the traditional boundaries among the subjects. This paper explores three themes which emerge from the research. The themes are obligations, possibilities and freedom. It focuses on concurrent occurrences of trivialization and pretence and considers participants resistance.
