Transport morski, obok transportu drogowego, jest bardzo istotny dla rozwoju gospodarki. Wykazuje ciągły rozwój, stając się jednostkowo, najbardziej optymalną kosztowo gałęzią transportu ładunków. Kluczowym ogniwem są porty morskie, gdzie odbywa się ich wymiana. Porty morskie łączą różne gałęzie transportu implikując intermodalność. Od ich zrównoważonego rozwoju, efektywnego wykorzystania infrastruktury logistycznej, budowania skutecznych sieci przepływów towarów i informacji zależy rozwój. Rozwój lokalnych przedsiębiorstw, rozwój regionów, rozwój makroregionów, w części również gospodarek ponad narodowych. Celem artykułu jest ocena i analiza perspektyw rozwoju transportu morskiego w Polsce, skupiając uwagę na kluczowych dla rozwoju gospodarki portów, bazując na analizach ilościowych, a także ich konfrontacja z rządowym programem rozwoju portów morskich.

Maritime transport, near the road transport, is very important for global economy. Constantly growing is the most effective branch of cargo transports. The most important link in cargo transport is seaport, where the all cargo exchange is. Seaport`s are connect different branch of transport. They are intermodal. From their development in the field of sustainable development, effective use of the logistics infrastructure, making effective flow networks of cargo and information, depends development of all economy. Development local enterprises, development of regions, development of macro regions and in a big part, development of national economy. This article include analysis perspective of development maritime transport in Poland, on the most important things to economy develop, with statistics analysis and analysis of government documents for maritime growing points.
