On the notion of talent in economics and their promotion on the example of Generation Y representatives The article deals with the management of the Y generation talents. These talents are young highly educated people who start their professional career. The author defines the concept of talent and discusses various ways of understanding it, mainly in relation to economics. Then he describes the most important characteristics of the members of the Y generation, also called millennials. The focus of their interest is the search for support and maintain the most talented young people in the organization.

This paper focuses on the key HRD and talent management issues occurring with Multinational Corporations (MNC) in today’s Russia. The paper is designed to share those issues alongside with a practitioner’s view. We argue that talent management in Russia has become an important issue HRD professionals face today. The aim of the research is to describe the current working environment for HR practitioners in Russia when it comes to talent management issues.

Tematyką tego tekstu są kluczowe zagadnienia rozwoju zasobów ludzkich (HRD) i zarządzania talentami pojawiające się w międzynarodowych korporacjach dzisiejszej Rosji. Artykuł ma na celu omówienie tych zagadnień z punktu widzenia praktyka. Jesteśmy zdania, że zarządzanie talentami w Rosji stało się istotną kwestią, z jaką mają do czynienia specjaliści HRD. Celem naszych badań jest opisanie aktualnego stanu środowiska pracy dla branży HR w Rosji w zakresie zarządzania talentami.
