Irina Lappo, “Everything is Permitted. «The Karamozov Brothers» in contemporary Theatrical performances” The paper, after a brief analysis of the basic motifs and structural features of Dostoyevsky’s novels, opens with the description of the historical performance of The Karamazov Brothers from 1910 presented in Moscow Artistic Theatre (MCHAT) and directed by Niemirovitsch-Dancenko. The main theme of this paper are three key performance of Dostoyevsky’s final novel: by Janusz Opryski (2010), Sylwa Kricikene (2011) and Lev Erenburg (2016).

In the paper, Detonation of Hope, translated by Wiktoria Wojtyra, Frank M. Raddatz attempts to explain the origins of Heiner Müller’s late texts, renowned for their non-dialogue characteristics that have become the basis for the post-dramatic theater. However, this basis has been corrupted by the capitulation to violence now deeply integrated onto it. Furthermore, in Hamletmachine, Müller utilized post-utopian aesthetics as a manifestation of the thwarted hope of the end to violence in history. This fundamental structure of his narrative of violence is preceded by the long struggle against violence and the possibility of overcoming or eradicating it entirely. A profound shock ensues from a sensitization stemming from the regulation of violence set against a pandemic. However, this only succeeds until the moment in which the fight against bestiality will give way for a new desire for violence. History, it turns out, becomes a cul-de-sac as represented by the renaissance of the ice-age which marks a farewell to a utopian world free of violence. At the same time fails an alliance of art and politics. The same alliance, that on behalf of The Absolute Other once hammered out the historical expectations horizon.

Celem artykułu jest analiza wyników badań przeprowadzonych wśród widzów teatrów na temat oczekiwań wobec sposobów i narzędzi komunikowania się z nimi w celu poinformowania ich o wartościach, jakie proponują instytucje teatralne. Uzupełnienie badań wśród widzów stanowi analiza wypowiedzi menedżerów teatrów, która ma na celu ukazać świadomość działań marketingowych, jakie teatry podejmują, aby zwrócić uwagę i przyciągnąć klienta. Prezentowane wyniki badań stanowią cześć projektu badawczego realizowanego na Wydziale Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego w Katedrze Marketingu na przełomie lat 2015/2016. Badania przeprowadzono na próbie 496 widzów teatrów oraz na próbie 16 menedżerów teatrów odpowiedzialnych za działania marketingowe.

The aim of the article is to analyze the results of research conducted among spectators theaters on expectations, as to the ways and tools to communicate with them in order to inform them about the values they propose theatrical institutions. Supplement research among viewers an analysis of the declaration managers of theaters, which aims to show awareness of marketing activities that perform theaters, to draw attention and attract the customer. Presented in the article the results of the research have been developed for the research sample of 496 spectators and on sample of 16 theaters marketing managers. They constitute only part of the research sample involved in the research as part of a research project conducted at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz, Department of Marketing at the turn of 2015/2016.

The aim of the article is to outline general rules determining the organisa-tion and functioning of German theatrical life in Toruń during WWII in the context of the nationalistic policy carried out by the Nazi authorities in the Gdańsk-Western Prussia Reich District. Apart from discussing organisational issues, the author analyses the repertoire of Toruń’s theatres. It reflects the policy of the Third Reich conditioned by political-ideological factors. The picture of German theatrical life in Toruń during WWII presented he-re allows us to discover general rules determining the organisation and func-tioning of theatres in the Third Reich. Theatres not only provided entertain-ment, but also satisfied the cultural needs of the German population creating the illusory sensation of stability and normality. Nevertheless, from the point of view of the German authorities, theatres were a means of political and ideo-logical indoctrination. The choice of appropriate repertoire and staging helped theatres to play an advocatory role for the idea of the national socialism.

Ziel des vorliegenden Artikels ist es nachzuzeichnen, unter welchen allge-meinen Bedingungen das deutsche Theaterleben im besetzten Thorn organi-siert war und funktionierte. Dies geschieht im Kontext der Nationalitätenpoli-tik der Besatzungsmacht im Reichsgau Danzig-Westpreußen. Außer der Erör-terung organisatorischer Fragen wird das auf den Bühnen in Thorn gespielte Repertoire analysiert. Es spiegelt die Repertoire-Politik der Staatsmacht des Dritten Reiches wieder, die von Maximen politisch-ideologischer Natur be-stimmt war. Das im vorliegenden Artikel gegebene Bild des deutschen Theaterlebens in Thorn während des 2. Weltkriegs erlaubt es gewisse allgemeine Gesetzmäßig-keiten aufzuzeigen, die die Organisation und die Arbeit der Theater im Dritten Reich bestimmten. Theater boten nicht nur Unterhaltung, befriedigten die kulturellen Bedürfnisse der deutschen Bevölkerung und schufen ein Gefühl von Stabilisierung und Normalität, sondern sie waren vor allem ein Instrument der politischen und ideologischen Indoktrination im Interesse der deutschen Staatsmacht. Durch ein entsprechend ausgewähltes Repertoire und passende Inszenierungen erfüllten die Theater die Rolle von Sachwaltern der Idee des Nationalsozialismus.

This paper deals with the application of action art and its particular forms, such as events, happenings and performances in marketing communication. It theoretically elaborates similarities and differences of aesthetic and marketing understanding of the terms "event" and "marketing event" as well as locating their forms in contemporary art and marketing convention. We also deal with the terms "gender", "interaction and interactive audience", "aesthetic emotion" and perception in theatre environment that we link with the environment of event marketing and search for experience in consumer behaviour.

The article discusses literary bibliographies prepared in the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IBL PAN), their origin, specificity and the assumptions adopted for the preparation of various and diversified types of bibliographies. A particular attention is given to literary bibliographies with a wide scope and range of the sources included that are usually the result of a team work such as: Bibliografia literatury polskiej “Nowy Korbut” and the dictionaries Słownik pisarzy polskich (Series I and II) and Współcześni polscy pisarze i badacze literatury; Dawni pisarze polscy. Od początków piśmiennictwa do Młodej Polski. Przewodnik biograficzny i bibliograficzny; Słownik pseudonimów pisarzy polskich (XV w.-1995), Literatura polska i teatr w latach II wojny światowej. Bibliografia; Polska Bibliografia Literacka; Literatura i krytyka literacka poza cenzurą 1977-1989; Kto był kim w drugim obiegu? Słownik pseudonimów pisarzy i dziennikarzy. 1976-1989; Bez cenzury 1976-1989. Literatura, ruch wydawniczy, teatr. Bibliografia; Bibliografia Bara. Kartoteka Bibliografii Literackiej Zawartości Czasopism Polskich XIX i XX wieku (do roku 1939). These bibliographies aim at presenting the facts from the literary and cultural life of Poland from the earliest times of writing to modern times. Two electronic versions of the literary bibliography – PBL on-line – are presented as a continuation of the printed book Polska Bibliografia Literacka, and Bibliografia Bara – electronic version of the bibliographical file catalogue Bibliografia Bara. Kartoteka Bibliografii Literackiej Zawartości Czasopism Polskich XIX i XX wieku (do roku 1939) worked out and edited by Adam Bar, initiated during the second world war and completed in the 1950s. Additionally, the author discusses the problem of censorship of literary bibliographies in the years 1948-1989, current situation in methods for compiling literary bibliographies and provides a short outline of the problems in documentation of areas not yet covered by bibliographical records. All the presented bibliographies are retrospective bibliographies. Hence, a necessity has arisen as to work out a far-reaching plan to be prepared for the PBL, i.e. a current bibliography that is a fundamental compendium of information on literature and the theory of literature, a form of a basic workshop for literary studies and a source for many other bibliographical works, as well as a fundamental tool for literary criticism.

Bibliografie te mają na celu ukazanie faktów życia literacko-kulturalnego od początków piśmiennictwa do czasów współczesnych. Zaprezentowano dwie elektroniczne wersje bibliografii literackiej: PBL online – jako kontynuację książkowej bibliografii drukowanej Polska Bibliografia Literacka – oraz Bibliografię Bara – elektroniczną wersję kartoteki bibliograficznej Bibliografia Bara. Kartoteka Bibliografii Literackiej Zawartości Czasopism Polskich XIX i XX wieku (do roku 1939), opracowanej pod kierownictwem Adama Bara, zapoczątkowanej w latach II wojny światowej i ukończonej w latach 50. XX wieku. Poruszono także zagadnienie cenzury bibliografii literackich w latach 1948--1989, obecnej sytuacji opracowywania bibliografii literackich oraz zarysowano problem dokumentacji obszarów nieobjętych rejestracją bibliograficzną. Wszystkie omówione bibliografie są bibliografiami retrospektywnymi, wskutek czego pojawiła się konieczność stworzenia dalekosiężnego planu dla opracowania PBL – bibliografii bieżącej, będącej podstawowym kompendium informacyjnym z dziedziny literatury i literaturoznawstwa, warsztatem dla badań literackich i źródłem wielu innych opracowań bibliograficznych, a także podstawą prac interpretacyjnych.
