Im Artikel stelle ich allgemeine Thesen der transhumanistischen Philosophie dar, die gegen das Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts dank Max More entstanden ist. Die Strömung ist in Polen nur in einem geringen Maße bekannt. Sie postuliert die Anwendung der fortgeschrittenen Biotechnologie in weiterer Evolution der menschlichen Gattung. Das Resultat dieses Prozesses wird die Erscheinung des Postmenschen und der posthumanistischen Welt sein. Im Beitrag schildere ich den Postmenschen nach dem Entwurf der Transhumanisten und die Veränderungen, die zu seinem Erscheinen nötig sind. Ich weise auch skizzenhaft auf den utopischen Charakter dieses Entwurfs hin.

In this article I present the general assumptions of the transhumanist philosophy, which was founded in the late twentieth century by Max More. This trend is only slightly known in Poland. It postulates the use of advanced biotechnology in the further evolution of the human species. The result of this process will be the appearance of the posthuman and a new posthuman world. In this article I present who – according to transhumanists – the posthuman will be, and what changes must occur for the posthuman to appear. I also sketch the utopian character of this concept.

W artykule przedstawiam ogólne założenia filozofii transhumanistycznej, która powstała pod koniec XX wieku za sprawą Maxa More`a. Nurt ten jest w znany w Polsce jedynie w niewielkim stopniu. Postuluje się w nim wykorzystanie zaawansowanej biotechnologii w modyfikowaniu dalszej ewolucji ludzkiego gatunku. Skutkiem tego procesu ma być pojawienie się postczłowieka oraz posthumanistycznego świata. W artykule przedstawiam, kim - zdaniem transhumanistów - będzie postczłowiek, oraz jakie zmiany muszą nastąpić, by mógł on się pojawić. Wskazuję też szkicowo utopijny charakter tej koncepcji.
