Since the time the investments in infrastructure are realized in Poland within the common transport policy, the changes in this area of Polish economy have been profound. The TEN-T program defines the investments, determining priorities among chosen roads and routes. nonetheless, the changes within transport infrastructure do not leave other economy branches unchanged. On the contrary, they boost the development of the areas they are implemented. The article compares the largest cities in Poland - those inhabited by more than 300 000 people - in terms of incomes, expenses, their public transport offer and all the funds assigned by the cities to subsidize municipal public transport. There are prominent and significant differences between the cities in the amount of funds directed towards municipal public transport.
