The article is published for information and it is a guide book about the resources the University of Rzeszów Research Centre on Polish Diaspora and Poles in the World. It should be useful for researchers interested in Polish diaspora issues in post-Soviet countries. The aim of the article is the presentation of archival materials connected with that issue. It is composed of two parts. The first part contains the characteristics of the University of Rzeszów archival materials. The second part presents projects which were carried out by the Research Centre on Polish Diaspora and Poles in the World and which are related to the Polish diaspora in post-Soviet countries.

This article discusses pending issues of entrepreneurship of students at the University of Rzeszów (UR), and its impact ona successful start on the labor market. The objective of the study is to show the students’ opinions on entrepreneurship and the possibilitiesof the use it on a labor market, including setting up a business. The research method used in the article is desk research method and the diagnosticsurvey method. In the opinion of the respondents (UR students), shaping entrepreneurship during the period of the study has a major impact,for both the students development and their successful career start. The analysis of the market research results indicates the need engagingstudents in additional forms of activity in order to create an entrepreneurial attitudes , as well as educate the young in the scope of the development opportunities offered to them.

Artykuł poświęcono zagadnieniu przedsiębiorczości studentów Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego i jej wpływu na ich lepszy start na rynku pracy. Celem tekstu jest ukazanie opinii studentów na temat przedsiębiorczości i możliwości jej wykorzystania na rynku pracy, również w zakresie zakładania działalności gospodarczej. W artykule zastosowano następujące metody badawcze: metodę desk research oraz metodę sondażu diagnostycznego. W opinii respondentów (studentów UR) kształtowanie przedsiębiorczości w trakcie studiów ma istotny wpływ zarówno na ich rozwój osobisty, jak i lepszy start w karierze zawodowej. Analiza wyników badań wskazała na potrzebę angażowania się studentów w dodatkowe formy aktywności w celu budowania postaw przedsiębiorczych oraz większego edukowania młodych w zakresie oferowanych im możliwości rozwoju.

The article presents the influence of Jerzy Maternicki’s works on the development of contemporary Ukrainian historiography. The Author has analyzed a number of works by Ukrainian historians who refer in their research to his studies. She showed a significant influence of Jerzy Maternicki on strengthening Polish-Ukrainian scientific contacts.

Autorka dokonała analizy szeregu prac historyków ukraińskich, którzy powołują się w swoich badaniach na jego opracowania. Between September 20th and 24th, 2015 Rzeszów hosted the Fifth Congress of Polish Medievalists, which was attended by about 250 scholars of the Middle Ages from all academic centres in Poland and from abroad. The congress theme was “Reception and Rejection. Intercultural Contacts in the Middle Ages”. A large number of papers were presented in 20 thematic sections. One section, no. 17, entitled “Translatio studii in the intellectual and literary culture of the Middle Ages”, was organized by Professor Andrzej Dąbrówka from the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Grzegorz Trościński, Ph.D. from the Old Polish and Enlightenment Literature Department of the University of Rzeszów. The speakers included philosophers, historians of Polish literature and linguists from several academic centres in Poland. The papers focused on the main intellectual current of the Middle Ages, depicted from various perspectives and shown at different angles. Translatio studii turned out to be multifaceted and long-lasting.
