The article concerns the problem of selecting inputs in DEA models. The author suggests the input significance condition for Data Envelopment Analysis models which is based on the response of rank indicators in SE-CCR model to reducing or extending the list of inputs. The author assumes that a given input is significant if this response is considerable and isn't significant if the reaction is inconsiderable. Examples of the response characteristics are provided. Maximum of rank indicator differences is the main characteristic. The author discusses the problem of changes of rank indicators when extending (reducing) the list of inputs. K
