The article is an attempt to apply Ronald W. Langacker's theory of the network model of linguistic category by for the description of an 'o- -VERB' prefix structure. The network model reflects a cognitive ability of 'the embodied mind' to create abstract ideas on the basis of the conceptualisation of sensually perceived events. The grammatical 'o- -VERB' category profiles a schematic notion of a way of performing activities. Some events coded by this category can also be portrayed by other structures, such as 'pro- -VERB' with a preposition phrase 'vokrug-GEN', 's- -VERB' with a preposition phrase 's-GEN', 'pere- -VERB'. However, each structure portrays conceptualisations of events non-identical with subcategories of the 'o- -VERB' structure.
