The article is an attempt to identify Polish regulations regarding negative goodwill that cause problems when judging by true and fair view. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the need for harmonization of Polish accounting legislation with interna- tional standards’ resolutions. Harmonization suggested in the article aims to increase the comparability as well as improve quality of information provided in financial statements.
