Dostępność komunikacyjna jest rozumiana jako możliwość dojazdu środkami komunikacji do celu podróży turysty uprawiającego wszelkie formy turystyki. Dostępność komunikacyjna, opisywana w niniejszym artykule, ma służyć zaprezentowaniu systemu połączeń komunikacyjnych, szlaków i wyciągów turystycznych, umożliwiających fanoturyście odbywanie wycieczek w obrębie regionu Dolnego Śląska celem uczestnictwa w wydarzeniach sportowych. W niniejszym artykule autorki dokonują kwerendy literatury wraz z analizą danych wtórnych pochodzących ze statystyk Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego oraz zarządcy dróg krajowych na terenie województwa dolnośląskiego. Dotychczas nie został podjęty temat dostępności komunikacyjnej fanoturystów na gruncie literatury krajowej, co stanowiło dla autorek przesłankę, by uzupełnić lukę badawczą w tym zakresie. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja dostępności komunikacyjnej województwa dolnośląskiego i jej ocena na podstawie przyjętych i obliczonych wskaźników. Efektem prac jest identyfikacja dostępności komunikacyjnej na podstawie charakterystyki transportu na obszarze województwa dolnośląskiego.

Transport accessibility is understood as the ability to travel by means of communication to the destination of a tourist practicing all forms of tourism. Communication accessibility, described in this article, will present a system of communication connections, tourist routes and lifts, enabling the fan tourist to take trips within the region of Lower Silesia in order to participate in sporting events. In this article, the authors query literature together with an analysis of secondary data from the statistics of the Central Statistical Office and the national road manager in the Lower Silesian Voivodship. The topic of communication accessibility of fan tourists on the basis of national literature has not been raised so far, which influences the motives of the authors’ considerations, which are to fill the research gap in this area. The aim of the authors’ research efforts is to identify the communication accessibility of the Lower Silesian Voivodship and its assessment on the basis of accepted and calculated indicators. The result of the work is the identification of transport accessibility on the basis of transport characteristics in the Lower Silesian Voivodship.
