Państwo polskie w początkowym okresie po I wojnie światowej stanęło wobec zagadnienia masowych ruchów migracyjnych, m.in. przyjęcia znacznej liczby uchodźców powracających do Polski z różnych krajów, np. repatriantów z Rosji, uchodźców ze Śląska Górnego i Cieszyńskiego, wydalanych z Niemiec robotników polskich, zesłańców z Syberii, reemigrantów z Niemiec. W artykule omówiono organizację powrotu jeńców, uchodźców i robotników. Dokonano analizy repatriacji do Polski według narodowości repatrianta.

In this article the lack of full documentation, the variability of sources and the limited credibility of repatriation 's data are emphasized. The difficulties with organizing the migration's statistics are first of all consequences of the World War 1, the 1919-1920 war and problems of creating a new nation. The presented analysis shows that the repatriation played a key role in people growth specially in eastern part of the country. Moreover, based on accessible data a structure of nationality of repatriants is shown. (original abstract)
