W artykule przedstawiono konstrukcję agregatowego indeksu wydajności pracy. Proponowany system wag wynika z teoretycznych rozważań nad sytuacją, gdy liczba pracowników w którymś z analizowanych przedsiębiorstw jest relatywnie mała. W pierwszej części opracowania rozważania dotyczą grupy N przedsiębiorstw i dwóch okresów ich funkcjonowania. Podano konstrukcję indeksu dla porównania tych okresów z punktu widzenia wydajności pracy. Rozważono przypadek, gdy chcemy zmierzyć przeciętną, jedno-okresową dynamikę wydajności pracy posiadając dane pochodzące z T >2 okresów. Rozważania obejmują indeks przedstawiony w pracy J. Białka (2005). Następnie zaproponowano nowy indeks, który spełnia wszystkie wymagane postulaty. Przedstawiono podstawowe własności indeksu oraz przykład w celu porównania omówionych indeksów. In the article the index of average work efficiency construction was presented. The proposed weighting pattern has arisen from the theoretical considerations on the situation, when the number of employees in one of the analyzed enterprises is relatively small. In the first part of this paper the considerations concern the group of enterprises N and their functioning in two time periods. The construction of the index due to comparison of these periods from the work efficiency point of view was given. There was also considered the case, when the average, periodic dynamic of work efficiency is measured with use of data coming from periods T>2. These considerations comprise index presented in J. Bialek's paper (2005). Next, the new index that fulfills all required postulates was proposed. The basic index properties were presented and the example comparing discussed indexes were given. This article is devoted to the relationship that arises between efficiency and ethics in the personnel policy. The article seeks to be demonstrated that the efficiency criterion should dominate the ethical criterion for the selection of managers. Such an approach is not fully respected. The results of an experiment showed that people give more importance to the ethical criterion of than to efficiency criterion.
