Who, what, when, where, why, in what way, by what means? - These are "seven golden questions" which a police officer should ask themselves before they make a decision. The subject matter of the paper is description of the decision-making by police superiors. The results of research aimed at confirming the specificity of decision making in police and defining police officers' behavior in difficult and stress-inducing situations of any kind which they regularly encounter while performing official duties. The goal of the study is also to indicate that making managerial decisions combines rational analysis aspects with intuition. Being on duty superiors pay attention to information concerning safety aspects. This kind of information is vital in order to take the actions staying in compliance with applicable law and not posing a threat to them, inferiors and society.

A person employed on a temporary basis gains new possibilities, but also encounters psychological difficulties. They can be particularly burdensome if this form of employment was not the preferred one. The character of temporary employment consists in emotional and cognitive effort resulting from the necessity of cyclic adjustment to new conditions, entering into important interpersonal relationships and then breaking them off in order to begin the entire cycle again. This article aims at analyzing psychological threats associated with temporary employment. A questionnaire survey conducted among employees employed by a temporary job agency was supposed to show the most important stress sources in this kind of employment. The likelihood of burnout syndrome was also analyzed.

Problem stresu oraz procesów radzenia sobie z nim i jego skutkami jest stale aktualny. W niniejszym artykule skupiono się na zagadnieniu pojęcia stresu jako patologii organizacyjnej. W artykule przedstawiono definicję zjawiska stresu zawodowego. Wskazano też reakcje na stres oraz sposoby zapobiegania mu. Stres jest nieodłącznym elementem życia, ale trzeba umieć go zdefiniować i zapobiegać mu. W życiu zawodowym stres rodzi negatywne skutki dla pracownika i pracodawcy.(abstrakt oryginalny)

It concentrate as organizational pathology in the present article on question of notion of stress. It present definition of phenomenon of professional stress in article. It indicate reactions on stress too and manners of preventions it (him). Stress is inherent element of life, but it is necessary to know define him and preclude him.
