Punkty zwrotne płodności w Polsce – analiza porównawcza

Regularne zmiany w długim okresie obserwowane w zjawiskach gospodarczych występują również w zjawiskach demograficznych. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja i pomiar wahań cyklicznych zmiennych charakteryzujących płodność kobiet w Polsce, a następnie przeprowadzenie analizy zmian płodności dla okresów wyodrębnionych jako punkty zwrotne. Wahania cykliczne identyfikowano i mierzono, korzystając z dorobku metodologicznego badaczy koniunktury gospodarczej, modyfikując go do potrzeb własnych badań. Określono punkty zwrotne, fazy wahań, ich długości i amplitudy. Stwierdzono, że w jednoimiennych punktach zwrotnych oraz w fazach spadku na zmniejszenie się wartości ogólnego współczynnika płodności miały wpływ zmiany wzorca płodności, natomiast w fazie wzrostu zmiany w strukturze populacji kobiet w wieku zdolności rozrodczej przyczyniły się do wzrostu ogólnej płodności.

Regular changes over long periods observed in economy also occur in demographic phenomena. The paper aims to determine and measure cyclical fluctuations in variables relating to women’s fertility in Poland, and subsequently to conduct an analysis of changes in such fertility in periods identified as turning points. The cyclical fluctuations were identified and measured by applying methods used by researchers of the economic situation, after an appropriate adaptation. Turning points, fluctuation phases, lengths and amplitude were established. It was found that at single-name turning points and during drop phases the decrease in the general fertility rate was affected by changes in the fertility pattern, while during the growth phase, changes in the structure of the population of women of child-bearing age contributed to an increase in general fertility.
