Sytuacja finansowa jest istotną sprawą dla zarządzających przedsiębiorstwem. Problemy finansowe przedsiębiorstwa mogą grozić jego niewypłacalnością, dlatego analiza sytuacji finansowej jest niezbędna nie tylko do bieżącego zarządzania, ale także pozwala uchronić przed negatywnymi skutkami spadku koniunktury. Dostrzeżone odpowiednio wcześnie sygnały ostrzegawcze i podjęte na ich podstawie decyzje mogą zapobiec upadłości przedsiębiorstwa. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie narzędzi pomocnych przy badaniu kondycji finansowej przedsiębiorstw w polskiej gospodarce.

Financial situation is a fundamental issue for the managers. Financial problems could threaten insolvency that is why the analysis of financial situation is essential not only for current management, but also for protection before side effects of economic downturn. Early enough recognition of warning signals and good decisions can prevent the liquidation of the enterprise. The aim of this article is presentation of the (economic) tools helpful in the study of the financial situation of the companies in the Polish economy.
