Przedmiotem analizy w artykule są wypowiedzi na temat kwestii kobiecej, zawarte w „Kronice paryskiej” Zofii Węgierskiej, publikowanej w latach 1853–1869 na łamach czasopisma „Biblioteka Warszawska”. Norwid w swoim wierszu określił Węgierską słowami: „Zarazem wielce wyłączna i wszelka”. Taki charakter mają również jej publikacje, podejmujące temat emancypacji kobiet. Najistotniejsze dla niej zagadnienia to: edukacja dziewcząt, nierówne szanse kobiet i mężczyzn na rynku pracy, pozbawienie kobiet czynnego i biernego prawa wyborczego. Dziennikarka i autorka książek dla dzieci, dzięki pobytowi w Paryżu, miała okazję obserwować rozwój ruchów emancypacyjnych zarówno w Polsce, jak i we Francji. Ponadto poglądy Węgierskiej na tę sprawę zostały ukształtowane poprzez jej wychowanie i znajomość z Narcyzą Żmichowską – założycielką Koła Entuzjastek.

The subject of the analysis included in the article are the essays on the female issue, enclosed within the „Parisian Chronicle”’ by Zofia Węgierska, published between 1853–1869 in the „Biblioteka Warszawska” magazine. In his poem, Norwid referred to Węgierska as: „so exclusive and common at the same time”. This is exactly the character of her publications raising the subject of the emancipation of women. The most crucial issues for her are the following: the education of girls, unequal opportunities of men and women on the job market and depriving them of passive and active suffrage. Due to her stay in Paris, the journalist and author of books for children had the opportunity to observe the development of the emancipation movement both in Poland and France. Moreover, Węgierska’s views on this matter had been formed by her upbringing and her acquaintanceship with Narcyza Żmichowska – the founder of the Enthusiasts Association.
