Prezentowany artykuł dotyczy znaczenia osób niepełnosprawnych w życiu młodych ludzi. Na wstępie został omówiony problem integracji osób niepełnosprawnych. Zwrócono uwagę na bariery uczestnictwa niepełnosprawnych w życiu społecznym. Zauważono, że osoby niepełnosprawne mogą odgrywać ważną rolę w życiu młodych ludzi. Kontakt z osobą niepełnosprawną często wpływa na hierarchię wartości ludzi pełnosprawnych. Aby zweryfikować tę hipotezę przeprowadzono badania dotyczące znaczenia osób niepełnosprawnych w życiu studentów. Opinie polskiej młodzieży na ten temat są znane (Wołosiuk 2008), więc interesujące było poznanie stanowiska studentów zamieszkujące inne państwo. W związku z tym zwrócono się do studentów Białoruskiego Państwowego Uniwersytetu Kultury Fizycznej w Mińsku, aby wypowiedzieli się na temat niepełnosprawności oraz ich relacji z osobą niepełnosprawną.

The following article concerns the significance of the disabled in the life of young people. In the introductory section, the problem of integration of the disabled has been discussed. The attention is paid to the existing barriers that hinder disabled people from participation in social life. It has been noticed that the disabled may play an important role in the life of young people. The contact with a disabled person quite often affects the hierarchy of values of those who are healthy. In order to review the hypothesis, the tests concerning the significance of the disabled persons in the life of students were conducted. The opinions of the Polish youth on this topic are known (Wołosiuk 2008); thus, it was interesting to see the position of students living in another country. As a result, the students of the Belarus State University of Physical Education in Minsk were asked to give their opinion on disability and their relationship with disabled persons.

Christian formation aims at the formation of the man in God’s image. It is implemented in many places, among which the family is of particular importance. The community of the family is the first and basic place as well as the subject of religious formation. The Christian family, based on the sacramental marriage, is the place where the offspring is born and educated in a versatile way. All the family members, especially the children, and the disabled children, are the objects of the Christian formation in the family. All the disabled children, regardless of the kind and extent of disability, should undergo such a formation. Christian formation consists of: the human, intellectual, spiritual and apostolic formation. The limitations which result from disability influence the extent and methods of the Christian formation in the family.

Niepełnosprawność stanowi poważny problem społeczny, ale też przedmiot zainteresowań wielu dyscyplin naukowych. Niniejszy artykuł wpisuje się w obszar badań tematycznych i dotyczy samooceny oraz postaw osób z niepełnosprawnością. Treści artykułu koncentrują się wokół aspektów teoretycznych kluczowych kategorii: niepełnosprawność i samoocena oraz obejmują przegląd badań w tym zakresie, z włączeniem aktualnych badań prowadzonych przez autora tekstu, które są fragmentem szerszego ujęcia badawczego realizowanego w ramach pracy naukowej. Artykuł ma charakter badawczy, stąd dyskusja i implikacje do praktyki, które stanowią podsumowanie i jednocześnie konkluzję przeprowadzonych analiz.

Disability stands for a serious social problem, and the object of interest of many scientific disciplines. This article is part of a thematic research area and refers to the self-assessment and attitudes of people with disabilities. The article is focused on the theoretical aspects of key categories: disability and self-assessment, and include a review of research in this area, including the current research conducted by the author of the text, beeing a part of a wider research carried out as part of his scientific work. The article is of scientific nature, hence the discussion and implications for practice that are a summary and, at the same time, a conclusion of the analyzes.

W artykule przedstawiono problem dotyczący związku edukacji środowiska w aktywizacji twórczej na rzecz wyrównywania szans z poprawą jakości odbioru form aktywizacji w kulturze osób z niepełnosprawnością, niezależnie od rodzaju deficytów pojawiających się w ich życiu biopsychicznym lub/i środowiskowym. Jako cel analizy obrano próbę wskazania ważniejszych kierunków opracowywanej przez środowiska lokalne (regionalne) strategii edukacji opartej na własnych tradycjach, doświadczeniach i możliwościach w jedności ze zmianami zachodzącymi w świadomości osób z niepełnosprawnością, ich rodzin oraz otoczenia. Podejmowane innowacyjne i alternatywne inicjatywy na rzecz aktywizacji twórczej w zakresie edukacji środowiska lokalnego oraz regionu powinny stać się priorytetowe i bezwzględnie urzeczywistniane w życiu codziennym jako powszechne działania wzbogacające jakość funkcjonowania osób z niepełnosprawnością w kulturze i sztuce.

This paper introduces the problem concerning relationships of the education of the environment in creative stimulation so as to give equal opportunities and improve the quality of reception of forms of stimulation in culture of the disabled, regardless of the kind of deficits appearing in their biopsychic or/and environmental lives. The aim of the analysis was an attempt to indicate major directions of the educational strategy, developed by local (regional) environments, based on traditions, experiences and possibilities in the unity with changes occurring in the awareness of the disabled, their families and their environments. The undertaken innovative and alternative initiatives in the area of education of local environments and regions for creative stimulation should become prioritised and absolutely realized in the daily lives as common activities enhancing the quality of functioning of the disabled in culture and art.

The aim of the article is to show job search methods used by people with disabilities in the context of own research results. This study is a narrow part of the analyzes related to the issue of vocational activation of this group of people. The first part of the study contains a theoretical introduction, the second part presents respondents' answers to questions related to factors influencing the decision to search for employment, the preferred methods in this respect and the frequency of contact with the labour market. The results of the study showed that the factor influencing the decision to look for a job was primarily the desire to raise the material status, the need for greater independence and being among people, changing the current lifestyle and the need to improve skills and develop interests. It is worth noting that people with disabilities most often use less-effective job search methods and also have low activity in this area.

Polish vocational education to special assigns a very important role in the education and upbringing of young people with disabilities. Vocational training is an integral part of the national education system, thereby implementing educational objectives adopted for this system. Th e purpose of training and education in schools for young people with disabilities is to strive to achieve the best results revalidation / rehabilitation of youths. It constitutes for most of them the fi nal step in the rehabilitation process of the school / revalidation. By training young people are not fully operational physically or intellectually prepared to act independently in social and professional life. Vocational schools by the multifaceted interaction enhances and corrects their pupils. In principle, the eff ects of rehabilitation will be the fuller the more the process of education and training in vocational schools will run in conjunction with all aspects of the life of society as a whole and the local community as a direct living environment. Functioning of social and professional, and a variety of diff erent social roles associated with the daily operation requires adequate education of young people with disabilities supported by customized content, forms and methods of work.

Polskiemu szkolnictwu zawodowemu specjalnemu przypisuje się bardzo ważną rolę w procesie kształcenia i wychowania młodzieży niepełnosprawnej. Kształcenie zawodowe stanowi integralną część systemu edukacji narodowej, tym samym realizuje cele wychowawcze przyjęte dla tego systemu. Celem kształcenia i wychowania w szkołach dla młodzieży niepełnosprawnej jest dążenie do osiągnięcia jak najlepszych efektów rewalidacji/ rehabilitacji tej młodzieży. Stanowi ono dla większości z nich końcowy etap szkolnego procesu rehabilitacji/rewalidacji. Poprzez kształcenie zawodowe młodzież nie w pełni sprawna fi zycznie lub intelektualnie przygotowywana jest do samodzielnego funkcjonowania w życiu społecznym i zawodowym. Szkoły zawodowe przez wielopłaszczyznowe oddziaływanie usprawniają i korygują swoich wychowanków. W założeniu efekty rehabilitacji będą tym pełniejsze, im bardziej proces wychowania i kształcenia w szkołach zawodowych będzie przebiegał w powiązaniu z wszelkimi przejawami życia społeczeństwa jako całości i lokalnych społeczności jako bezpośredniego środowiska życia. Funkcjonowanie społeczne i zawodowe, przyjmowanie różnych i różnorodnych ról społecznych związanych z codziennym funkcjonowaniem wymaga odpowiedniej organizacji kształcenia młodzieży niepełnosprawnej wspartej przez dostosowane treści, formy i metody pracy.
