Od pewnego czasu Internet stał się powszechnym kanałem komunikacji. Świat cyfrowy dokonał przemiany człowieka i społeczeństwa. Cyfryzacja gwałtownie przyśpieszyła proces przeobrażeń człowieka, społeczności i kultury. Internet wywołuje w kulturze większe zmiany niż komunikaty, które przekazuje, ponieważ medium to zmienia sposób, w jaki człowiek doświadcza i interpretuje świat. Dlatego korzystanie z Internetu musi być określone dobrem osoby. Oznacza to praktykowanie cnoty roztropności i umiarkowania. W perspektywie wskazanych istniejących zagrożeń korzystanie z nowych mediów wymaga wyjątkowej odpowiedzialności poszczególnych osób i społeczeństwa, tak by służyły one integralnemu rozwojowi człowieka.

For some time the Internet has become a universal communication channel. The digital world has changed both man and society. Digitalization has rapidly accelerated the process of transformation of a man, community and culture. The Internet causes greater changes in culture than messages that are passed on by it, because this medium changes the way people experience and interpret the world. Therefore, the use of the Internet must be determined by the well-being of the person. This means practicing the virtue of prudence and moderation. In the light of the indicated existing threats, the use of new media requires particular responsibility of individuals and society so that they serve the integral development of a human being.

The aim of this article is to justify/prove the following thesis by way of logical deduction: a human, as a potential being can develop (throughout the entire life) to become a rational and responsible being within the social and natural environment, provided that the “technical civilization” complies with the humanistic view of spiritual development of a person which constitutes an implication of international strategies in the second half of the 21st century.
