EN
Personalistic, opposing to postmodernist discourses, attitude towards culture and the whole humanities is dominant in Andrzej Kijowski’s output. It is expressed in respect for the value of a word, its internal life, meaning, beauty of form, its past and future forms of existence. Therefore, Kijowski’s personalism finds fulfilment in a subject presentation of a language concept, through its rationalization, aspiration to clarity of style and sense in the field of lexical choices. The writer often referred to Mediterranean culture sources, specially to the Bible. He took up issues of rhythm in language, religion and culture. In his opinion faith in rhythm is a belief in logics of tradition and history – identity foundations of each society and individual. Kijowski tried to find order, clarity of thought expressed through language. He mostly appreciated word autonomy, its creative abilities, subject understanding of the meaning and form.
