EN
The study looks at the desertion of Brdy villages in the former Brdy military area. It points to the changing character and use of the landscape not only within this area, but also within the wider surroundings. The case study looking at the abandoned village of Padrť looks in more detail at the existence, rich economic life and desertion of the site, with a map reconstruction giving a picture of spatial aspects at the time shortly before it was abandoned, and selected photos illustrate the current appearance of the site, whose potential has changed extensively from economic to military to a potential suitable for tourism, and linked with the protection of the environment and landscape.
