The aim of the article is to present biographical notes of heads of assayer administration in the Kingdom of Poland at the turn of the 19th century. These officers had specialist higher education, many years experience in mining administration, practice in overseeing excavation and sales of precious metals.

Artykuł ma za zadanie przybliżenie not biograficznych urzędników kierujących administracją probierczą na terytorium Królestwa Polskiego w końcu XIX i początku XX w. Urzędnicy ci posiadali specjalistyczne wykształcenie wyższe. Legitymowali się wieloletnim okresem zatrudnienia w administracji górniczej lub nadzorującej wydobycie kruszców i ich obrotem.
