This article is a reﬂection on adult catechesis and chances of its realization in accordance with priestly programmes of the Church in Poland. In the ﬁrst part of the article, the author sets out the fundamental points concerning adult catechesis in relation to the assumptions of the document that is a priestly programme. The reading of the priestly programmes of Polish Episcopal Conference from the last decade indicates that the Church is facing a complex challenge of realization of adult catechesis in its contemporary conditioning. There is a need to search for new, adequate directions and forms of priestly work of the Church so as to talk about eﬀective adult catechesis. The further part of the article depicts the content of priestly programmes which contain the main message of adult catechesis. The last part indicates the possibilities of the realization of adult catechesis resulting from the assumptions of priestly programmes of the Church. The analysis that was conducted by the author made the formulation of concrete priestly and catechetical conclusions of the practical nature possible. These conclusions should be included both by people responsible for realisation of adult catechesis in parishes and people who will programme this excellent form of catechesis in the future.

Artykuł stanowi reﬂeksję nad katechezą dorosłych i możliwościami jej realizacji w oparciu o programy duszpasterskie Kościoła w Polsce. W pierwszej części artykułu zostały przytoczone fundamentalne kwestie dotyczące katechezy dorosłych w odniesieniu do założeń dokumentu, jakim jest program duszpasterski. Lektura programów duszpasterskich Konferencji Episkopatu Polski z ostatniej dekady wskazuje, że Kościół stoi przed złożonym wyzwaniem realizacji katechezy dorosłych w jej współczesnych uwarunkowaniach. Należy poszukiwać nowych, adekwatnych kierunków i form pracy duszpasterskiej Kościoła aby mówić o skutecznej katechezie dorosłych. W dalszej części artykułu zostały ukazane treści programów duszpasterskich, które zawierają główne przesłanie katechezy dorosłych. W ostatnim etapie wskazano możliwości realizacji katechezy dorosłych wynikające z założeń programów duszpasterskich Kościoła. Przeprowadzona w artykule analiza umożliwiła sformułowanie konkretnych wniosków duszpasterskich i katechetycznych o charakterze praktycznym. Wnioski te powinny zostać uwzględnione zarówno przez osoby odpowiedzialne za realizację katechezy dorosłych w paraﬁach, jak i tych, którzy w przyszłości będą programować tę najznakomitszą formę katechezy.
